The Wolf of Wall Street

I always believe that a great movie can only be as good as who are in it. Actors in films play a huge role when it comes to creating names for the movie. The bigger the actors in the industries the more popular it can get. A lot of times people will just go watch the movie because that actor is in it. It doesn’t matter if the show was terrible, people will still go and watch because there are this thing called loyal fans. People who will watch whatever that actor have played on. When talking about actors there are various types of categories we can classify them. There are impersonator, interpreter, personality, wild card and character. A film that I can picture when talking about various categories of actor is the film The Wolf of Wall Street. The three actors that I want to talk about are Leonardo De Carpeo who is the Interpreter, Jonah Hill the wild card and Matthew McConaughey the star. Leonardo De Carpeo is pretty well for his daring roles from Titanic or Django Unchained. I classified him as the interpreter for the roles he had play from previous movies. He can play various types especially in this movie he played as a rich, addicted and wild businessman and he played it well. The movie stared with him sniffing drug a female’s anal and there was also a part where he was trying to land a helicopter while under the influence of drugs. Next is Jonah Hill, the wild card. Jonah Hill for me is a wild card because we all know that he is a great comedian yet here in this movie he portrayed a different type of actor. Here he was funny yet he showed a new face that people didn’t knew he had. He played a Leo’s best friend. There was a scene where during the party he practically strip down and shook his dick out in public. That is something that he never did before in any of his film. Last actor is Matthew McConaughey. Let’s face it people are a die-hard fan of this man. Regardless whether he played a small part on this movie, people went and watch this film because they love him. He is a big star. Among this three actors, Jonah intrigues me the most because normally you would see him in a more light comedy type movie but in this film it was like a 360. This shows that this actor has more to offer than just to make people. He wants to show the other side of him and how diverse he can be. There are various categories of actors out there. It all depends on how people perceive them to where to classify them as actors.

Tarzan

In a movie, sound is one of the most important aspects. Reason being is that music or sounds catches the attention of the audience. It allows the brain to get a glimpse of the seen before it happens. For example, before scary scene comes up majority of the time there is an eerie or frightening music. It also always the audience to feel like there a part of the scene, for example when fighting scene comes up there’s sometimes a sound effect or background music to portray where the person is being hit or how bad the damage is. A sound is a very big part of a movie and there are various elements to it.

There are various elements like dialogue, sounds effect, background music and more. One that hit to mind when it came to sounds is Tarzan. This movie had all the elements when it came down to sounds. The movie started off with amazing opening songs that were composed by famous Mark Mancina and Phil Collins. When it came to sound effects, the director used real instruments, an orchestra to showcase the ability of people on how they can produce sounds in an instrument. The produced sounds for jungle environment, the fight scene with the jaguar and the war between Tarzan’s group and Clayton’s army. Tarzan was an animated film yet the sound that produced and used for this movie was impeccable that it blend in and acquired the attention of people around. Tarzan was a movie for kids and what better way to get their attention? Lively and catchy music. Without the music in the movie it can offset the possibility of understanding the move and connecting to it. Music produces variable effect to the film and audience. It is important to have sounds in order to achieve quality movies

Ender’s Game

Ender’s Game

Director: Gavin Hood
Writers: Gavin Hood and Orson Card

Actors: Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfield, Abigail Breslin, Ben Kingsley and Viola Davis

When it came down to visual effect, lighting and other elements of a film, I believe that the Ender’s Game is one of the top movies out there in the year 2013. The movie was created to showcase a futuristic scene where in today’s technology would not compare. Not only did the movie have top-notch director but also award winning directors. The movie is about how the military force is training the smartest and brightest kids in the world to create a perfect soldier. A soldier who excels in tactics and lead an entire military force. The reason being why this happen is because of an alien invasion from a race called Formics. In order for humanity to survive the next wave of deadly invasion the armed forces needed to be ready.

The reason why I chose this movie is because of the unbelievable effects and editing that was done to create the scene. Watching the trailer alone gives us a glimpse and excitement of how the movie will be.

In regards to the lighting, different aspect of lighting had to be use in order to create the vast array of scene that was shot on this film. There are times where lighting is low and high and sometimes it goes different dimensional to create effects that fascinate the audience.

The trailer gave so many effects that contributed the theme. The theme allowed the lighting to amplify the scene from a regular to a astonishing shot. The effect of lighting on the movie is so important because it creates images and sometimes amplifies effect to the audience. With better lighting variety of shot can be created to make the movie ever catchy.

Plot:  The movie started with a voice over on one of the main character Zac Effron.  Zac is siting on a chair patiently waiting for something or someone.  Then the voice over began to explain how he ended up on that situation.  The movie focuses on the three main characters of male who believes in different values when it comes into a relationship.  One who is happy with marriage but secretly being cheated on by his wife.  The second character who is secretly dating a friend but does not want to introduce or reveal to his friends about his relationship status.  And one who is scared to commit due to a pack that he believed they had but in reality who is scared to commit.  The characters undergoes into variety of hardship, joy, confusion and even at a verge of breaking their friendship due to moments that they thought it won’t happen to them.  At the end each characters were able to find the real meaning of relationship and learned how awkward some of the moments they had during those period of time.

Conclusion. The story starts to flow in chronological order to where the director showcase the story in a fashion where the audience would want to know where their friendship will go and they will change regarding their beliefs in relationships as the movie progresses.  The reason why I loved this movie and wanted to write about it is because it reminded me of how I was back in
